Images of Malága and surrounding areas of Andalusia
These images were all taken by ©Juliana España Keller. They include scenes from the villages (pueblos) of Benalmádena (The Butterfly Garden and the Tibetan Stupa), Marbella, Gaucín and the larger cities of Malaga (the Moorish castle: Alcazaba), Cordoba (Mezquita), Almeria, Sevilla (Flamenco and Alcázar) and Cadiz (Roman ruins and Cathedral); all in close proximity of one another. The Costa del Sol runs from Almeria to Malaga, Malaga to Marbella, Marbella all the way down to the southern tip of Cadiz and its beaches are renowned for its famous 'chiringuitos' (small local fish restos on the beach). You can rent a car in Spain at the airport (on-the-cheap) and Juliana and Rudy can help you with planning your itinerary. Granada (Alhambra Palace) and Ronda (home to the German poet, Rainer Maria Rilke) are also big cultural and significant historical attractions in the mountains of the Sierra Nieves and the Sierra Nevada.
